Unless you are a really bad driver car insurance is a total joke. I mean how many reckss does a person get into in his life time. im saying on average about 2 or 3. and if your paying 600 bucks or more every 6 months thats one thousand plus dollars a year. in 30 years you could buy your self a new mustang. It really makes no sense that its a law to have car insurance when you could just put 600 bucks in a savings account if you ever need it. I think the insurance companies should give us our money back every 10 years or so if we are good drivers

Bush Swartznager and about 1/2 the Republican Governers want a Law to force every American to buy Insurance.

So how is it all of a sudden this plan concieved by New Haven Bankers (that’s passive voice for Skull&Bones) Is Hillary’s plan.

Give Credit where Credit is due it’s Bush’s Plan

Let’s say you got a patient that gets test after test done, costing the insurance company thousands of dollars. Maybe he has a serious illness, maybe he’s a hypochondria, who knows. But this person is obviously a terrible customer from the Insurance company’s point of view. What’s to stop them from kicking off, say the top 1% worst customers? Is there a law or do they just refrain because it would result in bad PR. Thanks in advance!

my boyfriend is 20 years old. he is a full time college student and has no time for a job. he still lives with his mother because he’s saving up money to move out on his own. because he doesn’t have a job, he has no health insurance. when he turned 18, they took him off his mother’s health insurance. they have very little money in general. is there anywhere they can go to get support such as food, clothing, etc… and also as a full time student i would think he is liable for health insurance through his school - community college of rhode island (CCRI). your advice is greatly appreciated. thankyou :)

I’d like to know if there’s a law or rule (especially in California) regarding the time between the death and the life insurance payout.

My mother-in-law is visiting from another country and will be staying with us for six months. I’d like to know how I can get a good medical insurance for her while she’s staying with us. Any advice?

My husband was in a car accident. No one was charged with fault. We are unclear if the person had auto insurance however, we are suspecting that he did not. It is a law in our state that you must have car insurance.

We were served with legal papers today stating he is going to sue us. Is there anyway that the lawsuit can be thrown out as he intially broke the law by being on the road in the first place?

The myth is that law suits drove med costs through the roof. The Reality is that the Insurance companies lost their shirts in the 80’s recession with investments in the stock market which drove up their costs to recoop.

Now that another recession is occuring, what effect will it have on insurance coverage/premiums and medical care?
East Coaster (below) If they killed or permenently damaged people, they SHOULD be driven out of business. Do you agree?

Can Life Insurance refuse payment after the 2 years suicide clause expires?

Contrary to public belief, I’ve found that the laws of most states and the policies of most life insurance companies only exclude suicide benefits for a 2 year period.

If hypothetically a customer was to purchase a policy with the expressed purpose of committing suicide in 2 years, could the insurance company refuse to pay?

This is for my actuary paper, not a personal question!

i am so sick of car insurance companies taking advantage of people with these super high prices just because the dumb law says you have to have insurance.
